Kathmandu, Nepal, April 10, 2020: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi have on Monday held a telephonic conversation in the wake of spreading corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Both the Prime Ministers of Nepal and India revealed about their discussions regarding the spreading the COVID-19 and the consequences emerged in their respective countries.
We discussed on various measures to enhance cooperation in the battle against novel corona virus, Prime Minister Oli has tweeted revealing about the discussion with his Indian counterpart Modi.
During the discussion, according to Prime Minister Oli, they stressed on the need on taking care of each other's citizens that are left stranded along the bordering areas due to the lockdown imposed in both the countries and to keep the supplies of goods smooth.
Likewise, Indian Prime Minister Modi has also tweeted that they discussed the prevailing situation due to COVID-19 with Nepali counterpart. ‘I appreciate the determination of people of Nepal to fight this challenge. We stand in solidarity with Nepal in our common fight against COVID-19," Modi has also stated in the tweet.
