Kathmandu, Nepal, July 23, 2021: CPN UML lawmaker Bhim Bahadur Rawal has withdrawn his resignation from the post of parliament on Friday.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the decision of the Madhav Kumar Nepal led faction of the CPN UML to vote in favor of Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s vote of confidence proposal in the parliament, Rawal had tendered his resignation July 18, 2021.
Though he had earlier aligned in the Nepal led dissident faction of the UML, he has lately shifted into party chairman KP Oli led faction in the pretext of making party united. It is said that both Oli and Nepal had urged him to withdraw his resignation.
