Kathmandu, Nepal, January 19, 2020: Lok Darshan Regmi, the immediate past chief secretary of the government, has been appointed as Nepal's ambassador to the United Kingdom. The government had on October 1 recommended Regmi for the post.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed Regmi as Nepal's residential ambassador to the United Kingdom as per Article 282 of the constitution, states a press release issued by the office of the president, Sheetal Niwas, on Monday.
The UK government had recently sent a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs approving Regmi’s agreemo.
