Kathmandu, Nepal: Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) candidates have won the mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in Hansapur Municipality of Dhanusha district.
 
RJP-N’s mayoral candidate Dev Krishna Mandal elected with 3320 votes while his closest rival Nepali Congress’ candidate Pradeep Yadav had secured just 3229 votes.
 
Likewise, RJP-N’s mayoral candidate deputy mayoral candidate Renu Devi Jha has been elected with 3,276 votes while her nearest rival Nepali Congress candidate Ram Kumari Kamat secured 3027 votes.
 
The RJP-N has become the first party to register a victory in the third phase of the local level elections. The RJP-N had boycotted the first and second phases of the local level elections.
