Kathmandu, Nepal, October 18, 2022: The Spokesperson of the ruling head Nepali Congress (NC) Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has claimed that next government would be formed under the leadership of the Nepali Congress after the federal and provincial assembly elections slated for November 20.


Speaking at a press conference at the party office in Sanepa on Monday, NC Spokesperson Dr. Mahat underlined the need of continuing the incumbent alliance to protect the constitution and to lead the country towards the prosperity. 

During the function, he also claimed that the main goal of the ruling alliance is to implement the constitution, protect the democracy and achieve the prosperity. Considering to the goal of the ruling alliance, Nepali people will make us victory in the upcoming elections, he said. 

“The next government would be formed under the leadership of the Nepali Congress to fulfill the aspiration of the Nepali people and desired goal of the country,” Dr. Mahat said “the people will make victory to the ruling alliance considering to the fact that the five-party coalition government was formed to protect the constitution and institutionalize the recent changes made from the popular movement.” 

Since the five-party coalition government has brought the country into the right track by addressing the voice of every Nepali, there is no necessary to cast a doubt that ruling coalition would not able to form next government by securing majority of seats from the scheduled elections.  

“Nepali people are well-aware about the circumstances of forming the coalition government and brought the country to order in a short period of time by addressing the challenges posed against of the constitution, controlling of the global pandemic of coronavirus, mentioning the  balanced foreign policy and many other public related matters,” Mahat said. 

Referring to the recently concluded local level elections in a fair and fearless manner, he reiterated the commitment of the Nepali Congress and its-led coalition government to make success the upcoming elections in a fear and fearless manner. During the function, he also urged all the coalition partners and other parties including the people in general to make success the elections. 

“Since the Nepali Congress-led coalition government was formed to protect the constitution, the people will make victorious to the ruling coalition,” Mahat said “all the parties of the coalition should be involved to ensure victory in elections.”

However, he did not mention about the next Prime Minister of the country.  Rejecting the  claim that the ruling head Nepali Congress and the Maoist Center have already agreed for dividing the post of Prime Minister, he claimed that the ruling alliance has not projected any particular leader as the next Prime Minister.
