Kathmandu, Nepal, December 2, 2021: Five ruling allies have suggested to the Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana to stay on leave by appointing an acting Chief Justice.
A meeting of the senior leaders of five parties held on Thursday morning at Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s official resident at Baluwatar made the decision to this effect.
In the meeting Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president Deuba, CPN Maoist Center chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (United Socialist) chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) chairman Upendra Yadav, leader of Rastriya Janamorcha Durga Poudel and spokesperson of the Nepal government Gyanendra Bahadur Karki were present.
In the meeting, the leaders also discussed on ranges of issues including the recent stalemate seen in the Supreme Court.
