Kathmandu, Nepal, March 15, 2022: Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Fahran Al Saud has arrived in Kathmandu for two-day official visit to Nepal. The Saudi prince-led a 23-member delegation arrived from Sri Lanka on a private plane on Monday evening.
Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Poudyal, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Nepal Musaid Suleiman M Al Marwani and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Saudi Embassy in Kathmandu welcomed the Saudi Prince at the VVIP lounge at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
During the visit, Saudi Prince Faisal is scheduled to hold separate meetings with President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka.
It is said that Nepal and Saudi Arabia is going to sign an agreement on enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries. It is believed that the agreement will help to enhance bilateral relations between Nepal and Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is a major destination country for Nepali migrant workers. About 400,000 Nepalis are currently working in the country.
