Kathmandu, Nepal, October 25, 2019: Tihar, the five day long second largest festival of Hindus across the world including in Nepal, also known as Yam Panchak, begins from today (Saturday).
The first day of Yam Panchak has been observed as Kaag Tihar on Sunday. During the festival, people used to feed up delicious to the crows regarding the crow as of the envoy of the Yama.
The second day of Tihar is known as Kukur Tihar. Dogs are worshiped during the day.
Likewise, the third day is Laxmi Pooja. On the day, people worship Gai (Laxmi), regarding as of the goddess of wealth. Laxmi pooja deserves high value among the five days of Tihar.
The fourth day of Tihar is known as Goru Pooja. On the day, people worship of oxen regarding the oxen as symbol of lord Shiva. Coincidently, Goru Pooja and Gai Pooja have fall on the same day on October 28.
The final day is Bhai Tika. On the day, sisters used to put Tika to their brothers’ forehead regarding it as the victory against of the evil.
