Kathmandu, Nepal, May 5, 2020: Seven more new cases of corona virus (COVID-19) have been identified in Nepalgunj, of Banke district on Tuesday.
With the new confirmed cases, corona virus confirmed cases in the country have reached 82. Out of total number of confirmed 82 cases, 23 are from Nepalgunj. The test conducted in Bheri Hospital laboratory, at Nepalgunj confirmed the new cases.
It is being feared that the number of corona virus positive cases would increase in Nepalgunj in days to come. The local authorities have intensified search and test drive in the affected areas, which is largely associated with the Muslim community.
Among the new cases three are male of 22, 30, and 40 years of age, while four are female with 9, 32, 34, and 55 years of age, states the press release issue by the Ministry of health and population on Tuesday morning.
According to the ministry, the health condition of the affected persons is normal and they are being treated by keeping them under the observation of health workers.
