Kathmandu, Nepal, September 25, 2022: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a show-cause order on writ petitions filed against President Bidya Devi Bhandari for not authenticating the citizenship bill on Sunday.
Responding to the five different writ petitions over the cases, a single bench of Justice Hari Prasad Phuyal issued the show cause order in the name of the President Bhandari ordering her for a written response.
As the president Bhandari did not authenticate the bill as per the constitutional provision, different five writ petitions were filed demanding interim order against of the decision.
