Kathmandu, Nepal: The Gurung community in Nepal celebrated the 'Tamu Lhosar' as the New Year from maid a functions across the country including in Kathmandu.
The festival is marked on Paush 15 as the New Year. Gurung lingo, Lho means class and Sar means change.
The Gurung community organized a special program at Tundikhel in the capital. Different program was organized in major Gurung community settlements including Lamjung, Gorkha, Tanahun, Syangja, Manang, Kaski and Parbat of the Gandaki Province.
