Kathmandu, Nepal: Tulsa Adhikari, a TikTok personality, has been arrested in Thailand and brought back to Nepal. She is currently being held in custody by the Lalitpur Police.

According to Lalitpur Police spokesperson SP Gautam Mishra, a case has been filed against Adhikari on charges of fraud amounting to NPR 65.229 million, along with money laundering. A Red Notice had been issued through the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) after she fled abroad.

A complaint had been registered against her last Shrawan at the Satdobato Police Circle on charges of fraud and criminal breach of trust. During the investigation, authorities examined her bank accounts and discovered large financial transactions, which led to the expansion of the probe into possible money laundering activities.

Kumar Chimoriya, the owner of ‘Hamro Automobiles’ based in Satdobato, had filed the complaint against Adhikari. She had remained absconding since then.

Police have stated that further investigation into the case is ongoing.
