Kathmandu, Nepal, July 16, 2020: 167 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the past 24 hours. With the newly identified cases for the coronavirus, total number of patients infected with the virus reached to 17,344 in Nepal.

According to Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, 167 new cases were recorded during real time PCR tests carried out at different 27 labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

During the regular press conference, he also stated that 213 persons who were earlier identified positive for the coronavirus have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the new number total recovery tally reached to 11,249.
