Kathmandu, Nepal, Dec 14, 2019: At least three persons including a police inspector killed in bomb blast occurred at Mahendranagar area of Chhireswornath municipality-5 of Dhanusha district on Friday midnight.
As a powerful explosion occurred near a house belonging to Rajeshwor Shah, the house owner 46-year-old Rajeshwor Shah and his 24-year-old son Ananda Shah died on the spot.
According to the reports, seriously injured police Inspector Ameer Dahal, who was deployed from Area Police Office, Sakhuwa, died while receiving treatment at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences on Saturday morning.
Though the real motive behind the explosion is yet to be established, it is said that the blast took place immediately after the police team reached the site. Police team under the leadership of deceased police inspector Dahal had reached on the site after they were informed about the strayed bomb.
Three more persons have injured in the blast. The injured have been identified as police constable Rijan Mahato, house owner Shah's another son Prakash and daughter Anjali.
It is identified that the deceased police Inspector Dahal had served as PSO of former Prime Minister and government head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) senior leader Jhala Natha Khanal. He was deployed in the field after he got promoted in the post of police inspector.
